Prof. John Paul Olivares
Headmaster
Learning Mentor for Arts & Design

Prof. John Paul “Lakan” Olivares finished his Fine Arts degree at the University of the Philippines and his masters in Curriculum Development at the Far Eastern University. He is an artist who has exhibited his works here and abroad. Furthermore, he is a graphic and production designer who has worked with several major businesses as his clients. John is also a historian who is presently mapping a street by street history of public art in Metro Manila, Metro Cebu, and Metro Davao. He is an activist who has worked in child’s rights and environmental conservation, and an educator whose experiences are shared to the next generation, to build a better future for all. As Career Academy Asia’s headmaster, Prof. Olivares sees this school as a means to develop designers who will truly influence society.

Aris John Trinidad
Learning Mentor for Fashion Design and Merchandising

Aris finished his degree in arts major in Fashion Design and Merchandising from De La Salle – College of St. Benilde . He has over 8 years of experience working in the retail industry and has worked with brands such as Folded and Hung and Harlan and Holden. He is currently Ava.ph’s Merchandising and Product Development Manager.

Ma. Kathleen Santos
Learning Mentor for DepEd Subjects

Kathleen finished her degree in Mass Communication from the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM). She also finished her Post Baccalaureate in Teacher Education from Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP). She is currently completing her master in Educational Management major in Educational Leadership and Management from PUP.

She worked at the Wordlab School, Inc. as an associate faculty and part-time reading clinician. She has worked at several companies as sales and marketing practitioner.

Hazel Ann Lacia
Learning Mentor for DepEd Subjects

Hazel is a licensed teacher with an MA degree in Educational Leadership and Management from Assumption College. She is also a licensed nurse with a college degree from San Beda College Manila. Furthermore, she also has an MA in Public Administration from Centro Escolar University.

Apart from her teaching experience in Assumption College as a Science teacher, she is also a public servant. She started as a Sangguniang Kabataan chairperson in Brgy. Pio del Pilar, Makati. Currently, she is serving as a Councilor in the said barangay.

Carlo Gamboa
Learning Mentor for Hospitality and Tourism Management

Carlo is currently the Business Development Director of Pedro ‘n Coi, Inc. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Hospitality/Tourism/Hotel Management from University of Sto. Tomas (UST).

He has 17 years of experience in food and beverage industry. He has worked with several notable restaurants including Chicken Charlie, Peri-Peri Charcoal Chicken, Sizzling Pepper Steak, among others, where he was involved in opening branches, management and training of staff, and operations in general.

Gemma Gomez
Learning Mentor for Graphic Design & Multimedia

Gemma is an Interior Designer by profession with local and international industry experience. She finished her degree in Fine Arts major in Interior Design from the College of the Holy Spirit Manila. She has also completed a masteral degree in Cultural Heritage Studies from the University of Sto. Tomas.

She has over 30 years of design teaching experience with several schools here in the Philippines including University of Sto. Tomas, De La Salle College of St. Benilde, SoFa Design Institute, and St. Scholastica’s College.
